Behind every good man is a woman

Good Afternoon

On this rainy Tuesday we started the day with Math Makes Sense, both grades at strategy lessons. These are valuable lessons because students learn new ways to solve questions.

With Miss Lopez's absence we decided to give the students extra time to work on their arithmetic and spelling. Most of the class were able to get all of their homework done in class.

After drama and french we learned about the women in the middle ages. Although women generally didn't have any rights in the middle ages their role was often underestimated. They would run the households, raise children, have their own jobs as well has help their husband out with his work.

We finished the day working on our journals. Students are to use the rubric and checklist provided so they can make their journal entry entertaining and well written.

Homework and reminders:
Arithmetic p. 95 & 96
Medieval Times Permission forms
Parents report card comments are due, we will photocopy and return it

Quote of the day:
"I never said most of the things I said"
- Yogi Berra
