Reading Buddies

We began our day with a convocation and heard that ZBP is in the lead for the house game. Girls from Ms. Elliott's class played a basketball shoot competition against each other, and thanks to Serena, KIP earned another 500 000 points. Well done Serena.

Grade 3s and 4s wrote their list 15 spelling test this morning. Tests are coming home today. Our class wrapped up reviewing for Monday's test. The children are bringing home their review sheets. These can be used to continue preparing for the final test. Children who had completed their review work got to go gym with Mr. Browning. The rest of the class stayed behind to get additional support with their work.

After gym, we had another rehearsal for next week's Christmas concert.

The children had french class with Mme  Stella. We then continued learning about writing plural forms of words. We learned 2 rules today. If a word ends in a consonant then 'y', we drop the y and add 'ies' (baby - babies). If a word ends in a vowel and y then we just add 's' (tray - trays). The children enjoyed independent reading time in class today. 

We ended the day writing an arithmetic test before the class was in for a special treat- being reading buddies to Ms. Genco's SK class. The children did a great job listening to their little buddy read, encouraging them and reading to them. This time was enjoyed by all.
