Cinderella

Grades 1 to 4 had a wonderful start to the week by travelling downtown to see Cinderella: A RATical retelling at the Young People's Theater. The play was thoroughly enjoyed by students, teachers and volunteers.
Once back at school the children worked on this week's spelling words. We did not have a math lesson today and there is no MMS assigned for homework. The children had a short arithmetic lesson and learned about division when there is a remainder. There is no arithmetic homework assigned today. We will review division with remainders tomorrow.
The children spent the last hour of the day working on their inquiry projects. There are a few Think pads in our class available for students who would like to do research their topic. Many students have not returned their project letters. A few students have not yet chosen a topic for their project. Please discuss the project with your child and return the signed letter. Send any research material you have for your child so that they may read it over during class time. Students will have 1 hour each day to work on their projects in class. The bulk of the project must be done in class.

• Think about ideas for the inquiry project and gather resources
• Set aside Wednesday, November 21 for our Grade 5- 8 performance of Shakespeare's Much Ado. Admission is free
