Sorting Solids

Grade 3s and 4s began their day working on math. The grade 3s used a Venn diagram to sort 3-D solids by their attributes. They also practised stating the sorting rule. Grade 4s practised a strategy called model it. They used snap cubes to model possible solutions to a problem.
Both grades worked on spelling words and arithmetic in class.
In language, the children practised their conventions by adding capitals, periods and commas to sentences. They are reviewing punctuation rules in preparation for Monday's language test. Also in language, the class continues to write a review about Cinderella. They are putting their writing through the entire writing process.
The class ended the day working on their inquiry projects where they had time to research their topic, take jot notes, write poems, and practise their dances.
The children also attended gym and french class today.
