Knight School!

Good Afternoon!

First off I have to announce we are going to Medieval Times next week! A permission form went home today outlining the details of the trip. It is an expensive trip but I assure you that it's worth while. I(Mr. Browning) remember going when I was in grade 4, and it really made the medieval unit memorable.

The day started with Math Makes Sense, this unit will feel like review for most of it because we have been doing multiplication and division in our Arithmetic books for weeks now. I do like how the MMS books give examples relating math to real world applications, plus its good practice to do questions with different wording.

Gym followed, most students remembered their gym clothes today but they still need to work on getting changed in a timely fashion. Too much time is wasted fooling around in the change rooms.

The arithmetic work deals with dividing four digit numbers and using word problems. Please remember that four digit division is the same as two and three digit but has another step.

After drama and french we learned about what it takes to be a knight. From becoming a page at age seven to a squire at 15 to a Knight around age 20!

We finished the day with a language review lesson on capitalization and punctuation.
